Regulatory Compliance Manager

This position will work in our Asset Management team and play a vital role in overseeing the regulatory compliance obligations of Adapture Renewables’ portfolio of assets across the U.S., ensuring regulatory commitments are met.

Our Asset Management team is looking for a talented Regulatory Compliance Manager to help support the efforts of our fast-growing company. Overview

This position will work in our Asset Management team and play a vital role in overseeing the regulatory compliance obligations of Adapture Renewables’ portfolio of assets across the U.S., ensuring regulatory commitments are met and that the company is prepared for new and changing regulatory requirements. As the go-to person for all regulatory compliance matters, this person will coordinate closely with internal stakeholders as well as external regulatory agencies. The Regulatory Compliance Manager is key in keeping the company prepared to meet existing and upcoming regulatory requirements for new and operating assets, so a high degree of regulatory knowledge and organization is essential. The candidate may be based remotely in the U.S., with periodic travel to our Bay Area home office and other company locations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure all regulatory requirements for new and operating assets are known, tracked, prepared for and met on time
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies to field inquiries and requests
  • Manage third party consultants to fulfill regulatory filing obligations, both initial and ongoing – including but not limited to EIA, FERC/NERC, DOE, PUCs, ERCOT, CAISO, MISO, ISO-NE, PJM, environmental attribute compliance entities, and any state or local regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the continued improvement of Asset Management policies and procedures with the aim of efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy
  • Track all regulatory obligations and work cross-functionally to ensure compliance
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and serve the point as of contact for all current and upcoming regulatory matters

  • Stay informed up upcoming regulatory changes and obligation and effectively communicate them to appropriate Adapture Renewables’ personnel and consultants, ensuring company preparedness
  • Establish clear regulatory compliance procedures and processes to be prepared for any audits (i.e. NERC audits)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of prior renewable energy experience with an emphasis on regulatory compliance
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies such as NERC, FERC, DOE, PUCs, etc
  • Preference for direct experience with working with ERCOT compliance
  • Strong ability to handle multiple obligations at once and effectively prioritize
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Experience in Business Development, EPC, Asset Management, and/or Operations & Maintenance is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, consultants, regulatory agencies, and regional ISOs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • An ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads is important
