Adapture Renewables at the Alamosa Round-Up Rodeo: Connecting with the Community on the Haynach Project
Earlier this month, Adapture Renewables proudly participated in the Alamosa Round-Up Rodeo, held the weekends of June 13 & June 20. As one of the San Luis Valley’s most anticipated annual events, the Round-Up draws hundreds of rodeo fans, families, and community members for a celebration of Western heritage, featuring events like the Ranch Rodeo, and Demolition Derby.
This year, our team hosted an informational booth, where we had the opportunity to meet with local residents, landowners, and stakeholders. Our developers were on hand to answer questions, share project updates, and talk about how the Haynach Project will contribute to both the local economy and Colorado’s clean energy future.

Spotlight on the Haynach Project
The Haynach Project is a utility-scale solar and battery storage development located just north of the existing Hooper Solar Project in Alamosa County. It’s designed to support Colorado’s transition to a resilient, low-carbon grid.
Project Highlights:
- 110 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity
- 110 MW / 4-hour battery energy storage
- 1,109 acres of thoughtfully selected land
- Connection to the San Luis Valley Substation
Supporting Colorado’s Clean Energy Goals
The Haynach Project directly aligns with Colorado’s ambitious climate and energy targets. The state is working toward 100% renewable electricity generation by 2040, as outlined in the Colorado Greenhouse Gas Pollution Reduction Roadmap. By delivering reliable, utility-scale solar and battery storage, the Haynach Project will help reduce emissions, preserve natural resources, and support the transition to clean energy—especially in rural communities like Alamosa County.
A Weekend of Connection and Community
The Alamosa Round-Up was a vibrant gathering of neighbors, families, and future partners. With over 350 professional rodeo competitors, food vendors, and live entertainment, the event offered a unique opportunity to connect with the community in a meaningful way. We’re grateful for the warm welcome and the many thoughtful conversations we had throughout the weekend.
“As our first project in Colorado, the Haynach Project represents more than just a milestone for Adapture Renewables; it’s a commitment to the communities we serve. Being at the Alamosa Round-Up gave us a chance to connect directly with residents and hear their perspectives. And we had an opportunity to share how this project will support local goals and Colorado’s clean energy future. Community engagement is at the heart of how we build lasting energy solutions.”

As we continue to develop the Haynach Project, we remain committed to transparency, collaboration, and delivering clean energy solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
